Liriope
PLANT PROFILE

Often mistaken as “monkey grass,” Liriope is a flowering ornamental grass used to accent a wide variety of features in the landscape. The “Big Blue” variety’s foliage grows in clusters, providing a base from which tall spikes of lavender-blue blooms emerge in late summer, not unlike the look of hyacinth. Versatile, liriope can be used as everything from groundcover to accents around larger plant, or even as another dimension to a container arrangement.
